Mold allergies-Help! ?

Question:
Has anyone had any success using allergy shots for mold? I am suffering from chronic sinus infections that are allergy based and possibly triggered by mold. I am trying to stay home as much as possible with an air purifier and air conditioner on, but I have to go out sometimes as I have kids. I have tried all sorts of things, but am hoping that the shots will help. Anyone have any experience with this or any other type of treatment for mold allergies?

Answer:
Actually I think that my house is what first triggered the mold allergies. Now though I am OK until I go outside, and then my head fills up and the post nasal drip starts. I have been keeping track of the mold count, and it is very high this summer because of all the rain we have had here up in the Northeast. Where in the Northeast and how do you get your mold counts? I am in the Boston area and the mold has been off the planet this year I have been using a dehumidifier and it seems to help a bit but I go into these dizzy lighheaded spins when ever I get around mold do you get this too ? I am in the Boston area also(North of the city) and yes the mold count has been terrible this summer. I try to stay home, because when I go out I get terrible sinus problems. I have been using an air conditioner and keeping the windows shut, so I am pretty good at home as long as I stay out of the basement. I like this site for pollen and mold counts in the Boston are http://www.allergy-asthma.net/. I am hoping that shots will help and for a frost to kill the mold! Barry here of http://www.aircleaners.com You might look into purchasing a Care 2000PC HEPA air cleaner with a built in ultra-violet system that will kill mold spores, bacteria and viruses. This unit will clean the air in a bedroom size area aprox 17 times per hour. I do use air purifiers, and they help in the house, but I have to go out, and that is when I start flaring up. I just got an Austin for my bedroom and I do think it is helping. That might be something that you might want to consider, as it does seem to help me having purifiers in my house. And I don't sell them so I have no vested interests in recommending them.
